BUZ Today Class Program - Sub junior primary - PP & Year 1
The focus of the BUZ TODAY program is to introduce younger children to some basics in social skills, understanding and handling feelings, making and keeping friends, handling being picked on.
Develops children's skills to:
- Build a positive self image
- Increase their friendship making ability
- Identify feelings and recognise situations that may cause different feelings to emerge
- Understand and manage feelings of anger/sadness
- Know how to manage conflict or problems in friendships
- Know what to do if someone is not being friendly or picking on them
- Appropriately express their feelings and wants to others
Duration: 8 hour program with the flexibility of 1hr or 2hrs per week delivery or full/half days Each teacher/student will receive a BUZ WORKBOOK with creative worksheets
BUZ Friends Class Program - Junior Primary Years 2 and 3
The focus of the BUZ Friends program is to developsocial skills - enabling children to build and maintain successful relationships.
Develops children's skills to:
- Build a positive self image
- Confidently establish and maintain communication with peers
- Develop new friendships
- Identify feelings and recognise situations that may cause different feelings to emerge
- Understand and manage feelings of anger/sadness
- Recognise and resolve conflict
- Appropriately express their feelings and wants to others
Duration: 8 hour program with the flexibility of 1hr or 2hrs per week delivery or full/half days Each teacher/student will receive a BUZ Friends program booklet with worksheets featuring stickers
BUZ Together Class Program - Middle Primary Years 4 and 5
The focus of the BUZ Together program is to develop better social relationships and cooperation in the classroom and playground.
Develops childen's skills to:
- Increase self esteem by enhancing friendships and the ability to handle relationships issues
- Cooperate and work more effectively with others
- Listen to and express feelings on issues of conflict
- Resolve conflict, negotiate and compromise
- Use different techniques to deal with negative feelings in a positive way
- Confidently deal with bullying behaviour
Duration: 8 hour program with the flexibility of 1hr or 2hrs per week delivery or full/half days Each teacher/student will receive a BUZ Together program book with reinforcing worksheets.
BUZ Power Class Program - Upper Primary - Years 6 and 7
The focus of the BUZ Power program is to develop within each individual a sense of personal power within the context of a group that is growing in their ability to cooperate effectively.
Develops children's skills to:
- Identify, consolidate & expand their personal values
- Confidently contribute within group situations
- Negotiate, compromise, collaborate & resolve conflict within group situations
- Respond with respect to those with differing ideas/beliefs
- Identify & utilise the strengths of individuals & the team in teamwork and problem solving
- Recognise their own strengths & weaknesses & the courage to change and grow
Duration: 9-10 hour program with the flexibility of 2hrs or 1hr per week delivery or full/half day or camp situation. The last session requires 2 hours Each teacher/student will receive a BUZ Power Tool Box with ’Tools’ and a Manual to take with them to help recharge their personal power!!
